Commercial vehicle operators who believe that near enough is good enough are wasting time, costing money and even putting lives at risk. It's important to be aware that there is a different spec for nearly every vehicle. That's why Bendix carries well over 1000 references for American, European and Japanese specs - and makes them available right around Malaysia. 

The Bendix range covers virtually every application from a two tonnes delivery van right up to a road train and there probably isn't another manufacturer that comes close to this range.

References vary with the size of linings, the actual braking material as well as the differences between general truck and trailer sizes. Vehicles should be maintained as they were designed to be kept otherwise you won't know how efficiently your vehicle is braking. Fitting the wrong brake linings can result in poor performance, premature wear and over heating leading to brake fade.

In the absence of a universal code enforced by law, operators should at least look closely to see if a friction rating is engraved into the lining.

FF is the most common rating and covers 80% of commercial vehicles. EE rated linings tend to last longer with lesser performance and are typically suited to vehicles like road trains or timber jinkers. GG is more a specialist range offering high levels of performance immediately from cold starts. They are fitted to vehicles such as fire engines.

Bendix is the only manufacturer with a testing laboratory in Australia. We have the largest friction material laboratory in the southern hemisphere with several dynamometers including a new noise and vibration unit utilising laser technology for measurement. 

In addition, products are tested on real vehicles under normal operating conditions to make sure that are suited for Malaysia conditions of heat, dust and long distances.

Superior Surface protection
Bendix pads use less abrasive materials and lubricants that protect the disc rotor surface - unlike many aggressive European style materials.

Thanks to this advanced 'surface technology', friction can be achieved with minimal surface damage to pads and rotors thus extending both pad and rotor life.

Bendix CV Pads reduce thermal damage to rotors, which can cause micro and radial cracking and has a high tolerance of varying rotor metallurgy.

Our Products are manufactured in state of the art facilities to the most stringent of quality control (TS 16949) and all areaccredited through to ECE Reg 90 - E4 and E11.

Bendix disc pads
 feature a triple protection retention system - mechanical, adhesive and formulated retention to ensure product integrity in all operating conditions.

Mechanical Retention: An integral steel mesh, stud welded to the backing plate, through and around which the friction material is cured the mechanical shear strength is greatly enhanced.

Adhesive Retention: The backing plate (and steel mesh) is coated with thermo-setting phenolic adhesive. This delivers the industry standard bond for the friction material to the backing plate. This bond has a strong resistance to thermal stress.

Formulated Retention:
 The best compound for brake performance may not be the best compound for bonding. In order to ensure perfect bond conditions we insert an 'interlayer' of material specifically formulated for bonding between the backing plate and the main friction material block. During molding and curing this interlayer flows and fuses organically into the main friction block and adheres perfectly to the backing plate and steel mesh. The resulting final bond is fully secure.
